Pizza on a diet?

Hi everyone!
As you all know as a model its very important for me to take care of my body by eating right, and exercising. With that being said (and a very well known fact) it doesn't mean that I don't love food! Everyone once in a while i'll have something 'non diet approved' with the right portion size. I don't like to deprive myself of sweet treats every now and then, but I do make sure to keep portions in line! One of my favorite foods is pizza. We all now how unhealthy pizza is, and eating pizza all the time can result in unwanted weight gain, and other annoying problems. Today for lunch my mother made a delicious pizza which was only 250 calories for one personal pan sized pizza! It tastes amazing too. It's very simple and easy to do, and affordable to make.

Ingredients:

  • Smart and Delicious Tortilla (80 Calories in one tortilla, 12g of fiber, 3g of fat, 8g of protein, 1g of sugar, Sodium 300mg).
  • Parmesan Cheese (90 Calories per serving - serving size 1 oz, less than 1 car, 6g of fat, 9g of protein, Sodium 260 mg).
  • Turkey Pepperoni - (70 Calories per serving - 14 pepperoni's a serving, 4g of fat, 9g of protein, 1g of carbs, Sodium 380).
  • Organic tomato paste - (25 Calories per serving - serving size 2 table spoons).

Additional things needed

  1. Knife
  2. Cheese grater
  3. Cutting board, plate, hard surface
  4. Oven, or microwave oven
  5. Measuring spoons
  6. Pizza slicer

If you use a serving in everything the calories amount to 265 calories, but I found with my pizza I only had to use a portion of the servings. I also added Basil, pepper, onions, mushroom, and spinach for more flavor.

Instructions:

  • Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • Take out one Smart and Delicious Tortilla onto a hard surface (countertop, cutting board, or plate).
  • Carefully open a can of tomato paste
  • Measure out a tablespoon of tomato sauce and spread onto the tortilla evenly
  • Option to add pepper, basil, and any additional seasonings you'd like
  • Option to add more tomato sauce to the pizza, as saucy or as dry as you'd like
  • Take a knife and cut a small piece of cheese, about the size of your thumb, depending how cheesy you like it.
  • Grate the cheese over your tortilla and sauce to as much as you'd like
  • Take your turkey pepperoni, and place as many as you'd like onto the pizza (I used 9) evenly spread them onto your pizza in your desired manner.
  • Option to put any additional toppings like onions, mushrooms, spinach, tomato, or pineapple.
Pizza should look something like this now!

  • Carefully place the pizza onto the oven rack directly with no baking sheet or pan
  • Let it bake for about 10 minutes before checking on it, if you'd like to bake it longer add it for additional time
  • Carefully pull out of the oven, letting it cool 1 minute before slicing
  • Slice how you'd like it!
You should have a healthy and delicious pizza! Enjoy!
xoxo
